At STEPS we are incredibly proud to operate the only specialist amputee and orthotic residential rehabilitation programme in the UK.

In partnership with The Blatchford Clinic we provide intensive treatment for clients through our unique multidisciplinary team which includes Prosthetist, Orthotist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Consultant in rehabilitation Medicine, Consultant in Anaesthetic and Pain Medicine, Psychologist and Nursing staff.

It’s widely accepted that clinical outcomes can be greatly improved when combined with a tailored programme of rehabilitation, helping clients return as near as possible, to their pre-injury level of independence.

STEPS clients benefit from not only the swift provision of their prosthetic or orthotic device but running alongside this they receive daily therapy sessions to maximise their mobility, independence and general well-being.

As with everything we do at STEPS, the rehabilitation we provide is tailored to the specific needs of individuals. Clients who access our amputee and orthotic residential programme benefit from a thorough consultation by our multidisciplinary team who then design a programme that’s unique to them. There’s full communication between each medical specialism ensuring optimum results for clients as well as peace of mind!

The programme is available to both new clients starting out on their journey as a prosthetic or orthotic user, or for more established clients who would like to improve their general fitness and mobility level.

All treatment is delivered at STEPS in our purpose built rehabilitation centre in Sheffield. The state –of- the- art centre provides an enabling and positive environment with a large rehab gym, hydrotherapy pool, outdoor all terrain areas.
