You have your date of admission… now what?
On arrival you will be shown around with your family/friends. In your room you will have a wardrobe, a desk/dressing table, a bedside locker and a bed of course! Every bedroom has an ensuite wet room and TVs will be available for those who would like one. We will provide towels for your room and the hydrotherapy pool, if there is anything you forget, don’t worry we can arrange for it to be brought by a friend or relative or we can pop to the large Tesco just around the corner and get what ever you need. See the packing list below.
Our wonderful chefs will be preparing your meals freshly each day and will come and chat with you when you arrive about your likes/dislikes or intolerances etc. We have three main meals in the day plus a snack mid morning if you need it to keep you going, we will also serve a high tea and late evening snack if required. You will be eating your meals in the café or in one of our skills kitchens and sometimes be making it yourself so you don’t get too used to not having to cook!
You will receive a timetable for the week with all your therapy sessions and free time. We can upload this to your tablet or phone and you can share it with your family so that they know what you are up to. See an example timetable (PDF).
We will give you a fob to wear on your wrist or around your neck when you arrive, this is our state of the art nurse call system which means you can get help when ever you need it.
There will be lots of opportunity to socialise in the evenings if we haven’t exhausted you in the day. This is optional of course. You can enjoy our music room which has no TV or use the games room which has a pool table, dart board and a bar!
There is a communal lounge with a large TV so that is where you will be able to enjoy a film or some sport.
