You have your date for admission... now what?

On arrival you will be shown around with your family/friends. In your room you will have a wardrobe, a desk/dressing table, a bedside locker and a profiling bed or a double bed depending on which room you will be in. Every bedroom has an ensuite wet room and TVs will be available for those who would like one. We will provide towels for your room and the hydrotherapy pool, if there is anything you forget, don’t worry we can arrange for it to be brought by a friend or relative or we can pop to one of the supermarkets just around the corner and get what ever you need. See the packing list below.

Our wonderful chefs will be preparing your meals freshly each day and will come and chat with you when you arrive about your likes/dislikes and dietary requirements. We have three main meals in the day plus a snack mid morning if you need it to keep you going, freshly made smoothies and juices can be made on request. You will be eating your meals in the café or in one of our skills kitchens and sometimes be making it yourself so you don’t get too used to not having to cook!

The kitchen and cafe where you will eat and socialise during your stay at STEPS

You will receive a timetable for the week with all your therapy sessions and free time. We will email this and/or print this for you. You can share it with your family so that they know what you are up to during your stay.

We will give you a pendant to wear when you arrive, this is our nurse call system which means you can get help when ever you need it.

There will be opportunity to socialise in the evenings during your stay at STEPS if we haven’t exhausted you in the day. This is optional of course. You can enjoy our music room which has a TV or use the cafe space which has a selection of board games and another TV.
